American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Committee Opinion (July 2018) addresses recommendations, approaches, and effects of women's pain the early postpartum period including nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies, nonopioid analgesia, use of opioid medications, breastfeeding considerations, as well as special considerations for women with opioid use disorder and women with chronic pain.
