This study published in Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research found that the public has more stigmatizing views (difference, disdain, and blame) toward mothers of children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) than toward mothers with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and jail experience.
